Making an autumn wreath, what do I need?

• Wreath of straw or willow twigs
• Wrapping wire (to secure the materials)
• Glue gun (always easy to glue dried flowers and berries)
• Autumn flowers and berries such as Physalis, Hydrangea, Rosehips, etc.
• Autumn material and leaves such as oak leaves, small pumpkins, acorns and chestnut.
• A rope or hook to hang the wreath.

Many fall flowers retain their beauty when they dry, allowing you to enjoy your wreath for a long time. You can also choose to only use dried materials for your wreath. Our tip: be creative and turn your wreath into a personal work of art. You can also use flowers and materials from your own garden, choose your own style: modest or extravagant. The choice is yours!

Make an autumn wreath in steps

• First place your materials loose on the surface (wreath) to determine the composition, so you can distribute the right materials.
• Cut the materials to size if necessary.
• If you are completely satisfied, arrange the materials on the outside of the wreath in the order of your composition.
• Start gluing and binding your fall materials now (Always work in one direction! clockwise or counterclockwise.)
• Fill the spaces with small materials such as pumpkins, nuts and berries
• Once you’re all the way around, your wreath is ready, you can now attach the hook or string.
• Hang the wreath in a dry place that is clearly visible. Enjoy!

Tip: Making an autumn wreath can be compared to painting: various textures and colors come together to form a harmonious whole.
If you don’t have a suitable place to hang the wreath, you can also place it on a table or a low cupboard; a lantern with a candle in the middle will add even more atmosphere.
